Previews for Week of 3/4/13
by Carol Banks Weber

  • Kyle’s only being nice, trying to steer an aimless Summer toward something better to do, like an internship. But she has stars in her eyes, for Kyle.
  • Uh oh. Summer’s got Kyle in her cross-hairs. But it’s a crush, not an act of revenge.
  • Phyllis tries to figure out what the deal is with Kyle, when it comes to Summer.
  • Billy warns Phyllis she better treat Jack with kid gloves this time around.
  • Abby calls it. Summer wants Kyle.
  • Abby alerts Jack and Kyle about Summer’s hidden romantic agenda.
  • Abby tells Kyle about Summer’s crush on him. At first, he can’t believe this.
  • Kyle is painfully aware of Summer’s crush on him. He refrains from acknowledging it, maybe it’ll go away with him trying to maintain a platonic friendship only.
  • Of course, knowing Summer, she will push the limit, going so far as to stay close in Kyle’s proximity at work with a Jabot internship from Jack.
  • Summer hits Jack up for an internship at Jabot, pretending like she’s all about the make-up line. Even when Jack pointblank asks if she’s doing this to be closer to Kyle, she continues the deception.
  • Kyle tries to talk Jack into moving Summer to Neil’s fashion department instead, not desiring the attention.
  • Word of this gets back to Summer, who then works Jack by building him up and making noises about getting mentored by the best.
  • Michael and Fen bury the hatchet after talking it out.
  • Lauren, however, is getting her groove on with Carmine, the bartender, at the Athletic Club.
  • Wracked by guilt and remorse, Lauren tries to get it through Carmine’s lust-struck head that this has to be a one-time thing and to go to the grave with it, too.
  • Carmine assumes making love to Lauren equals a lifetime partnership, however.
  • Lauren brings Carmine back to reality, pointing out her marital/maternal status.
  • Carmine agrees to keep Lauren’s extra-marital secret.
  • As soon as Carmine leaves the hotel room, Fen knocks on the door to talk to his mom about dad.
  • Fen campaigns for Lauren to make up with Michael, now that he has. All this forgiveness just twists the knife for her.
  • Lauren fears she committed the worst sin over Michael.
  • Lauren confides a little in Phyllis about her marital woes.
  • Phyllis boosts Lauren’s flagging marital confidence, reminding her that it’s her and Michael and they can conquer anything.
  • Privately, Lauren’s scared she put the nail in the coffin of her marriage by sleeping with Carmine. She still loves Michael deeply.
  • Michael leaves her a voicemail, which Lauren hears and feels doubly bad about.
  • Abby gives Carmine a hard time about who he’s loving now.
  • Paul bolsters Michael’s flagging confidence in repairing his marriage. He makes a good sounding board.
  • Michael tries his hardest to get back with Lauren.
  • Sarge gets serious with Mason. The two get down to brass tacks, and Mason opens up some more.
  • Jack is helplessly in love with Red. He means to show Phyllis just how much and courts her.
  • Victor and Abby work together for Nikki’s benefit.
  • It’s time for Victor and Nikki to get married, forever this time. The entire clan makes sure to be there.
  • Victor takes immediate action.
  • Ashley drops in on family.
  • Billy is stricken with an illness.
  • Billy takes care of Victoria, who’d fallen ill—just in time for her parents’ nuptials.
  • Adam makes his feelings crystal clear to Sharon, no beating around the bush.
  • Chelsea gets ready to tell Adam what she’s been keeping from him.
  • Dylan finds he can talk freely to Sharon, and does. He talks about his time in war and how he learned firsthand how to be around children overseas in Afghanistan.
  • Sharon makes it easier for Dylan to open up further about his war time.
  • Sharon uplifts Dylan, feeling a kinship and protectiveness toward this man.
  • Dylan’s father visits Genoa City.
  • Chloe tries to get Chelsea not to settle and play the field, hopefully play around with a fun boy toy.
  • Lily and Cane resolve their disagreement as a case of unwarranted jealousy, on both their parts.
  • Nick suspects Leslie of being key to Avery’s murder case, and that Leslie isn’t saying everything she knows.
  • Leslie implores Avery to not pursue this case for Gus.
  • Nick asks Victor to tell him more about Congressman Marcus.
  • Leslie worries aloud to Tyler about Neil’s growing involvement in her mess. She confides in her brother that Neil’s liable to do anything to have her back.
  • Neil gets involved in Leslie/Valerie’s private business, as her knight in shining armor, from that congressman.
  • Nick sees for himself who this congressman is.
  • Nick wants Congressman Marcus Wheeler to tell him who is against Avery going through with this murder case.
  • Dr. Kurt Costner makes a return to the town.
  • Abby makes the first move with Alex.
  • Next week:  Jack pulls out all the stops to court Phyllis… Nick makes inquiries to connect the dots between Victor and the congressman… Nick picks Victor’s brain, to know more about the congressman… Neil means to be Leslie’s bodyguard… Abby chips in so Victor can do this special thing for Nikki… Abby is like a dog with a bone, when it comes to pestering Carmine to tell her who he’s fallen for… In Chloe’s opinion, the cure for Chelsea’s pain is to date someone new.
